We see common applications in sailing, freight transport, refrigerated transport, air freight transport, construction, sun protection in greenhouses, storage and tents.<\/p>\n

Can’t be bent, so strong<\/strong>
\nComposite profiles in the form of spinnakers or sail battens keep the sails of a boat nice and tight, so that they can catch enough wind. Even though the wind can pull on the sails enormously, the strong composite profile will retain its shape. In addition, the use of composites reduces weight, which is a major advantage in sailing.<\/p>\n

The profiles are also very popular in greenhouses because of their stiffness and light weight. The cloths used here as sun protection are already heavy in themselves. Adding aluminum tubes, for example, can help maintain the position, if they do not add even more weight to the canvas. In addition, aluminum can bend over time. Due to their strength and low weight, carbon profiles are therefore the ideal solution for positioning the screens in greenhouses.<\/p>\n

Flexible composite profiles<\/strong>
\nComposites are used not only for their stiffness, but also for their strength and flexibility. This way, thin, solid fiberglass tubes or narrow, hollow carbon tubes remain flexible, but are powerful enough to spring back to their original shape every time. This makes these profiles very suitable for use in tent construction. The profile can bend repeatedly without breaking and ensures that the tent remains stable.<\/p>\n

Other applications<\/strong>
\nAnother support application of the composite profiles can be found in roller doors made of tarpaulin or cloth. The composite profiles can be added horizontally to provide reinforcement and make the roller door a stronger element.<\/p>\n

We also see the use of composite profiles returning in air freight. A tarpaulin is placed over the frames in the loading space. By incorporating composite profiles into this sail, it forms a sturdy whole. The frames are better protected and stay in place.<\/p>\n
