THE BEATING HEART OF THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

In April, we joined the “Neighborhood AED” initiative. “Neighborhood AED,” to accomplish the purchase of an AED (automated external defibrillator). This is an initiative of the Heart Foundation and Philips. The goal is to jointly take care of the cost of the AED. To give each initiative a head start, Philips is sponsoring the first half of the amount.

In the event of cardiac arrest, an AED can save lives. Because we think access to an AED is important. Not only for our own staff, but for everyone in our industrial park. Therefore, we took action and approached our neighbors. All our neighbors were enthusiastic and supported the initiative. Together we achieved the required amount in just under three weeks!

After we reached our goal, the AED was delivered and installed on the outside of our building. It has also been added to the national list of registered AEDs.
